Damnation carry on the late ’80s and early ’90s thrash metal sound with an ‘in-your-face’ attitude. The band was formed in 2022 when Domenico “Dom” Surace joined drummer Alessandro “Cau” Cau and lead guitarist Paolo “Paul” Carrone, creating their first tracks, two of which, ‘Scream All My Hate’ and ‘Damned’, were included in their debut EP “Damnation”, released in February 2024.
In 2023, the lineup was completed with bassist Davide “Deiv” Tieri and vocalist Paolo “Pi” Chiariello. Their first concert, on February 17, 2024, at Blah Blah in Turin, was a sold-out event, followed by performances alongside bands like Madball and Grave Digger. In September 2024, Davide “Dave” Avetta joined the group, making his debut on November 9 at El Barrio in Turin. The band will close the year with shows at Kulturwerk 118 in Switzerland and Skaletta in La Spezia.
