Formed in March 2001, Ibridoma was, from the very beginning, the brainchild of Alessandro Morroni (drums) and Christian Bartolacci (vocals).
The band later took part in several music competitions, winning first prize at the “Rock Around the Road” festival in 2004. This achievement gave the group the opportunity to begin composing its own material.
In 2005, Ibridoma released the Lady of Darkness EP, securing a distribution deal with Nightmare Records in the United States and receiving several positive reviews from music websites in Italy, the Netherlands, France, Portugal, Brazil and Germany.
In 2006, Ibridoma performed live in Lisbon, Portugal, supported by local band Mindfeeder.
In 2007, the band released its second project, Page 26, which was immediately well received by critics. The new album was followed by several live shows, leading Ibridoma to share the stage with artists such as The Dogma, Uli Jon Roth (former Scorpions), Richie Kotzen (former Poison and Mr. Big), Rigo Righetti and Roby Pellati of Ligabue, Linea 77, Theatres des Vampires and Necrodeath.
In June 2008, the track “Alone in the Wind” appeared on the Rock Hard compilation.
During February and March 2009, the band supported Blaze Bayley on his Italian tour.
After the tour, Ibridoma began working on its first full-length album, Ibridoma, released in 2010 through UK Division and SG Records.
Following the debut album, the band resumed its live activity and, in 2011, began working on its second full-length record, produced by M. E. Baskette and released by SG Records in April 2012. A new promotional tour followed, with Ibridoma sharing the stage with Rhapsody of Fire, Secret Sphere and Almah. Later that year, after an intense period of live activity, the band headlined shows in major Greek cities in November.
In 2013, Ibridoma began recording its third album, produced by Max Morton and released by SG Records in May 2014 under the title Goodbye Nation.
In 2015, Ibridoma supported Sabaton on the Russian tour in March and Queensrÿche in Rome in July.
In 2016, the band released its fourth album, produced by Simone Mularoni at Domination Studio, featuring two very special guests from Iron Maiden: Paul Di’Anno and Blaze Bayley.
In 2018, Ibridoma released its fifth album, City of Ruins, followed in 2022 by its sixth album, Norimberga 2.0.
Lorenzo later left the band for work-related reasons, while rhythm guitarist Sebastiano Ciccalè returned for live performances.
2023 – The band began playing new live dates and writing new songs.
2024 – Guitarist Andrea Marresi joined the band, while Sebastiano became the sixth live member, alternating with the new guitarist during concerts. The band wrote new material with Andrea, and the new album gradually took shape.
2025 – Following further live performances, the band entered the studio to record its new album. Mauro Mancinelli’s Ulag Zone Studio was used for all guitar and rhythm parts, while the vocals were recorded at Damiano Paoloni’s Sound Distillery Recording Studio. The album was mixed at Ulag Zone, with artwork once again created by Gustavo Sazes, known for his work with Kamelot, Iced Earth, James LaBrie, Angra, Arch Enemy, British Lion and many others. The collaboration with Sazes has continued since 2014.
2026 – The new album was released through Punishment 18 Records, featuring two special guests: Giacomo Voli of Rhapsody of Fire and Chiara Malvestiti, soprano of Therion. Further live shows are planned, including performances in Northern Italy and Switzerland at the Riverside Festival.

Over the years, they have shared the stage with artists such as Blaze Bayley, Rhapsody Of Fire, Sabaton, Queensrÿche and Richie Kotzen, and appeared at events including the Magic Circle Festival.
