Emortualis, an Italian death metal band, has experienced a complex history of formation, disbandment, and rebirths.
Founded in 1989 as Hellraiser, they made a name for themselves in the underground scene through intense live performances and a demo recorded in 1991.
After a period of success in northwest Italy, the band disbanded in 1993 due to personal difficulties.
In 2014, the group returned to activity, releasing the EP Biological in 2016 under The Spew Records. However, the sudden death of a founding member in 2017 led to another hiatus.
In 2022, with a renewed lineup, Emortualis was reborn, blending old-school death metal with modern elements, setting the stage for a new creative phase.
Their upcoming album “La fine di tutte le cose” is a concept work exploring themes of resurrection and humanity’s apocalypse, reaffirming their dark musical identity and determination to remain a force in the death metal scene.
