Founded by Chris DeWolf and Eagle McMorgan in 2018 as a continuation of their work together in ‘Critical Solution’, now with a more melodic and new musical approach, Imperial Child is a Norwegian Melodic Heavy Metal band. DeWolf and McMorgan, having worked together nearly 20 years, continues the concept stories created by McMorgan accompanied by DeWolf’s atmospheric riffs and together creates musical journeys influenced by Progressive, power and Heavy Metal along with classical music. storytelling conceptual albums. Some people may call it Rock Opera.
The debut album, ‘Compass Of Evil’ released in march 2020 Is part one of the story, and tells the compelling story of William Green, a man of the living dead and his fight against Evil. The story has characters played by the band itself as well as guests, namely Savatage and Trans Siberian Orchestra singer Zak Stevens. Other guests include King Diamond axeman Andy LaRocque as well as Mike Squires of McKagan’s Loaded/Ugly Kid Joe.
The bass duties in the band are taken care of by Vasili Silura from Belarus and Tov Glesnes.
The band’s second album ‘Secrets of the Roman Ghost’ will be released November 30th through Punishment 18 records and sees the band continuing where the first album left off with several guests returning. Back in the producer chair is Andy LaRocque whom also mixed and mastered the album.
